Yor Briar has a chance encounter with her while on a shopping outing. Yor saves Melinda from accidentally falling down a flight of steps and a grateful Melinda invites Yor to join her friend circle, the Lady Patriots Society. Although the two of them are from different social strata, Melinda is friendly and welcoming towards Yor, finding Yor's superhuman strength to be amusing and impressive and helping ease Yor's insecurity over being 'normal.' However, even the socially clueless Yor can sense that underneath Melinda's pleasant demeanor there's significant tension between Melinda and her family as cracks start to show in her attitude once the other Desmonds are brought up. She is voiced by Inoue_Kikuko in one of her many maternal roles.
