She is a pale skinned woman with long_hair although she had a slightly tanner complexion when she was on the reality show Sixteen. From a young age, she was interested in dance, receiving training at a dance academy. Her professional career began when she was scouted at the Muse Performing Arts Workshop in her hometown in 2012, and went to South Korea to train to be a K-pop idol. She was one of the contestants of the 2015 survival reality show Sixteen, which was a show designed by Park Jin-young to create a new female idol group. By the end of the show, there were seven winners but Park opted to add two more contestants to the final line up, Momo and Tzuyu. The nine members together became Twice_(group) Tzuyu is the youngest and tallest member of the group, having joined when she was only 15. As Korean is her second language, she spoke in a more formal and stilted manner early in her career. Thanks to Twice's massive international success, she became an icon in East Asia, including her home country, which dubbed her Light of Taiwan, and is the Taiwanese public figure with the most followers on Instagram. She is famous for being widely considered to be exceptionally beautiful even by the exacting physical beauty standards of the Korean entertainment industry, often ranking high on World's Most Beautiful Woman lists, and many clips of her often highlight her looks.
