Thus, in recent years, she has decided to pick up streaming in order for people to hear her voice. She's a indie_virtual_youtuber who debuted on October 30, 2020. She was designed by arucelli and illustrated by hayamafair. The person behind her is Internet singer Hikaru Station and Bao debuted on Hikaru's channel as opposed to creating a new account for her vtuber identity. Her debut as Bao was also the first time she had done any kind of streaming. She eventually changed the channel name to Bao the Whale. Alongside her streams, she has continued to produce music under her Bao identity. She's a multilingual vtuber fluent in English, Vietnamese, and Japanese. Her name is derived from the Vietnamese word for storm, Bão. She started off with a more mellow and soft spoken personality, but overtime let her more unhinged side show more and more.
