Togata is one of the Blessed, humans who were born with super powers in the Fire Punch world, and like Agni, has the power of regeneration. Togata is more experienced than Agni with the power, having lived for hundreds of years, and is old enough to remember what movies were. The former becomes interested in Agni and decides to follow him around to make him the star of a movie. Togata is obsessed with movies and is willing to do anything to make the dream movie. Although Agni tries to push Togata away, he ends up being convinced to be the star of Togata's film. Togata teaches Agni martial arts, acting, and how to better manage his own powers and the two of them steadily build a close relationship. Togata is the main source of comic relief in the otherwise dark story and serious cast thanks to providing creator Fujimoto Tatsuki's trademark film references and consistently speaking in crude language in both Japanese and English. One of Agni's followers, who can read people's minds, exposes Togata's secret and deepest insecurity to Agni. Togata is mentally a man, but is trapped in a woman's body. Togata had originally wanted to receive gender reassignment surgery, but thanks to his regeneration powers, is unable to do so. From that point on, he resigned himself to playing a 'female' role to others.
