Now Viewing: jdon_in_my_soul_(meme)Tag type: General A hololive meme usually associated with Hakos_Baelz though it was birthed through the efforts of multiple hololive vtubers. It originated in a collab stream held on February 19, 2024 on Baelz's channel. It consisted of a game of telephone that featured talents from all of the three hololive main branches: Japan, English, and Indonesia. For this telephone game, Bae provided English sentences that made heavy use of Australian slang which the other talents were not familiar with. The sentence that birthed the meme was, "make a Macca's run soon, my shout!" Todoroki Hajime went first, and her pronunciation of the sentence turned Macca's run into maka jdon, a mistake that Kaela Kovalskia and Kobo Kanaeru repeated and later my shout was corrupted into my soul. After the round was finished, both Kaela and Kobo fixated on the word 'jdon,' pestering Bae with what it was supposed to mean. Bae dismissed the word as a fake word, only for Kaela to Google it and discover that it was actually a real Hebrew word meaning "God has listened," meaning that the final corrupted sentence of "Maka JDon suru, my soul!" means "God has listened to my soul." The memetic sentence went on to comically haunt Bae, and gained even greater memetic strength after the Holofest 2024 Capture the Moment concert. During her performance, Bae made a pose where she kneeled on the floor, arms outstretched and leaned her head back to look up. This distinctive pose became known as the JDon my Soul pose.
