It debuted on April 6, 2021 on Shounen Jump+. It is a blend of bizarre occult-themed shounen action and a coming of age romantic comedy. It was adapted into an anime by Science_Saru, which was released on October 4, 2024. The anime is directed by Yamashiro Fuuga, written by Seko Hiroshi, and scored by Ushio Kensuke. The OP song is performed by Creepy Nuts, who even made a cameo in the manga, and the ED is performed by Zutomayo. The story centers around Ayase Momo, a rebellious high school girl with a big celebrity crush on the actor Takakura Ken, to the point that she has tried to date boys that resemble him in some way, only to end up disappointed by her relationships. One day, she spots a nerdy male classmate being bullied and decides to stand up for him even though he's a complete stranger. The boy is touched by her gesture and the two of them start a friendship with Momo being the boy's first ever friend. However, the two of them have polar opposite beliefs when it comes to occult activity. Momo believes in ghosts, but the boy believes in aliens, which Momo doesn't believe in while he doubts the existence of ghosts. The two make a bet, each of them will visit a location known for supernatural activity and a location known for occult activity to determine who's beliefs are correct. They soon discover that both of them are correct: the boy is attacked by a ghost who steals his penis and curses him, and Momo is abducted by aliens who also have a fixation on human private parts. The two of them survive their encounters and unlock new supernatural powers in the process, but the boy is still missing his penis. Now, Momo and the boy must battle against a myriad of bizarre spirits and aliens to recover his stolen private parts and, along the way, the two opposites find themselves growing closer. The manga became big success upon release, selling over 3.2 million copies by November 2023 and scoring over 360 million views on Shounen Jump +. It made fourth place on Takarajimasha's Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2022 list of best manga for male readers and in Tsutaya Comic Award 2022, and made first place on both the Nationwide Bookstore Employees and Publisher Comics' Recommended Comics of 2022.
