She styles her hair into a bob cut and wears a white jacket paired with a sleeveless and leg less jumpsuit. She is the netrunner of Maine's team of edgerunners, specializing in hacking. When jobs turn violent and physical, she uses razor sharp Monowires to slice through objects. She is David Martinez's introduction to Maine's crew and immediately catches David's eye upon her first appearance. David first interacts with her when he catches her pickpocketing data on a train and decides that he wants to do something similar to Lucy. When she sees that David has a Sandevistan that gives him super speed, Lucy decides to play along with David, having him help her steal data. Lucy also shares with David her dream of going to the moon. As the day goes on, David starts falling in love with Lucy, but Lucy suddenly reveals that she had been manipulating David to get his Sandevistan, which was supposed to be for Maine. David is able to convince Maine to spare him and let him keep the Sandevistan and join his crew. In spite of Lucy's manipulation, David is still in love with Lucy and he soon finds that Lucy's behavior towards him was not entirely an act and she's fallen in love with him too. As Lucy's feelings for David deepen, she grows increasingly concerned for his safety as she is painfully aware that people in their line of work don't live long. Although not revealed in the series itself, Lucy's full name was confirmed by producer/story creator Rafal Jaki to be Lucyna Kushinada. Lucy is actually half Polish/half Japanese, an allusion to the anime being a collaboration between the Polish CD Projekt Red and the Japanese Trigger. She was also named after Jaki's mother. She became a playable video game character herself as a guest character in Guilty Gear Strive.
