Now Viewing: oda_eiichirouTag type: Artist 尾田 栄一郎 A male mangaka who is most famous for creating One_Piece, one of the best selling comics of all time. He was born on January 1, 1975. Prior to his big break with One Piece, he wrote and drew some short manga including the One Piece prototype Romance Dawn. He is famous for his outlandish character designs and the large amounts of foreshadowing he manages to work into One Piece. He also tends to provide bizarre and comical answers in Q&A sections like his response to why Zoro is able to speak coherently with a sword in his mouth, "Because it's his heart that allows him to speak." He was also heavily involved in the production of the One Piece movies, such as One Piece Film: Strong World, Film: Z, Film: Gold, Stampede, and Film: Red He was Watsuki Nobuhiro's assistant during Rurouni Kenshin. The cross dressing Kamatari was Oda's idea, but Watsuki was the one who came up with Kamatari's final feminine design; Oda had conceived of him as being more masculine in appearance. Watsuki has paid tribute to Oda by including the Straw Hat logo in one panel of Rurouni Kenshin.
