It can also be played on Xbox Live Arcade. The game is very difficult and is loaded with boss fights. The bosses themselves are introduced with some Engrishy hints and warnings. The game is unique amongst shoot-em-ups in that the player is not given any power ups. The player is given seven weapons at the start that'll grow stronger the more points the player gains. Destroying a chain of enemies of the same color gives the player higher bonuses. The game is also notable for having an anachronic structure. The 'first' level of the game is Stage 3 and in the arcade mode, the player can choose whether to continue to Stage 2 or Stage 4. The player must go through all levels for the Sega Saturn version, which also develops the game's story more.
