However, he takes an interest in this new world when he witnesses a performance by an obscure singer named Tsukimi Eiko and is immediately enamored with her voice. He quickly befriends her and she helps him get up to speed on present day Japan. Eiko confides to him that she's a struggling singer, who is on the cusp of giving up her lifelong musical ambitions and this gives a new goal for Kongming. For the new, the series' music and aesthetics are based around Tokyo's night life culture. Both the Japanese and English titles of the series are based off of popular 2010s era slang. The series was acclaimed with the manga winning Next Manga Award's U-NEXT award in the web category in 2020 and ranking 9th in the "Nationwide Bookstore Employees' Recommended Comics of 2021" The series achieved greater fame upon being adapted into an anime TV series with its OP animation in particular becoming a viral hit.
