He is a regular teen boy who suddenly gets involved with mermaid yakuza once he sees Sun's true form as he is drowning. As the existence of mermaids is supposed to be a secret, Nagasumi is set to be killed but Sun saves him by offering to marry him. Nagasumi is grateful to Sun and soon falls in love with her. Unfortunately, Sun's hyper protective father Gouzaburo dislikes Sun's decision and tries to kill Nagasumi behind Sun's back. Due to his circumstances, Nagasumi is often in a state of panic as he avoids attacks from various gang members, but when Nagasumi is backed into a corner, he is able to surpass his limits and exhibit superhuman strength and abilities. Nagasumi is also a kind boy and often helps out others in need and is willing to risk his life to help people in danger. Nagasumi is a fan of Edomae Lunar and when Lunar seemingly expresses interest in him, he is quite excited. However, Lunar soon finds that she can't shake Nagasumi's loyalty and love towards Sun. Nagasumi gets along better with Sun and his peers at school than he does with his parents who are often negligent and cowardly. He also has a man crush on the suave Seto gang member Masa who resuscitated him with CPR and is technically his first kiss. His interactions with Masa are charged with homoerotic subtext though it is one-sided on Nagasumi's part. He is voiced by Mizushima_Takahiro.
