Although he likes to poke fun at Houtarou's laziness, he is a good friend of his and even envies Houtarou's deductive abilities. In contrast to his friend, Satoshi is more outgoing and flamboyant. Ibara Mayaka has a crush on him, but he has yet to reciprocate although he is fully aware of her feelings for him. Satoshi also has an interest and extensive knowledge of obscure facts and trivia and is also a major Sherlock Holmes fan. He often acts cheerful, but he has a surprisingly low opinion of his own abilities. He is voiced by Sakaguchi Daisuke.
