"Heavenly Dragon") Tenryuu is a the personification of the light cruiser Tenryuu in the game Kantai_Collection. Tenryuu was a light cruiser of the Imperial_Japanese_Navy. She was completed in 1919 and sunk in 1943. She is the namesake of the Tenryuu light cruiser class, which includes the Tatsuta_(Kantai_Collection). The Tenryuu class is the second oldest out of the real ships classes currently represented in Kantai Collection with the Kongou-class battleships being the oldest. In Kantai Collection, Tenryuu has short_hair purple_hair and yellow_eyes. She wears a school_uniform with a necktie and thighhighs, partly_fingerless_gloves and an eyepatch over her left eye. She has ear-like or horn-like headgear hovering over the sides of her head. Her gear usually glows purple. Her weapon is a sword. For Summer 2015, she was given a temporary alternate outfit consisting of a white bikini, a kickboard, and her necktie tied around the bikini bottom. Depicted with a tough girl personality with the catchphrase of "Heh, you scared?"; she is, however, often depicted in a way that subverts this because her stats are very sub-par for her ship type and is generally used as expedition fleet fodder rather than part of a combat fleet. She is also depicted as a babysitter [2] to the destroyers (most commonly to the Akatsuki-class). Often paired with Kiso_(Kantai_Collection), due to their similar personalities and their eyepatches.
