Now Viewing: animated_pngTag type: None An animated image in the APNG format, an unofficial, backwards-compatible extension to the PNG format created by the group behind Mozilla/Firefox. Comparable to animated gif files, but with support for 24-bit colour and 8-bit transparency. Not fully supported by all browsers. Internet Explorer, Safari, and Chrome will only display a preview image, but the animation should display properly in Firefox, SeaMonkey, or Opera. Also note that the animation is not preserved when previewing or resizing the image, so make sure to click on "view original" if you wish to view more than the static preview image. In addition to these browsers, there is also support for the format in a few stand-alone image browsers.
