Now Viewing: unzanTag type: Character 雲山 Unzan is a male character in Stage 3 of Touhou's Undefined_Fantastic_Object. A nyuudou [1] resembling a massive pink cloud with the face of a bald, angry old man, he makes up the "Guarding and Guarded Giant Wheel" combination with the mid-boss and boss of Stage 3, Kumoi_Ichirin. An imposing figure, he is actually very shy, and depends on Ichirin to speak for him. Series creator Oota_Jun'ya has joked that she actually serves as his hitbox because he overshadows her so much. Notable for being the first male character to appear in the Windows Touhou games. (example: ōnyūdō, mikoshi-nyūdō, wanyūdō) Nyuudou in Touhou Unzan is said by Hieda_no_Akyuu to be a mikoshi-nyūdō, a foreseeing-type nyūdō. Originally monks who were unable to see anything but their own feet, they hang their heads and hide their face, which you can't tell has grown large. Finally, when they raise their head, they decapitate you. However, they can be defeated by shouting, "The foreseeing nyuudou was foreseen!" (見越し入道見抜いた mikoshi-nyūdō wo minuita) which repels them.
