Now Viewing: hiei_(kantai_collection)Tag type: Character 比叡 Hiei is the second ship of the Kongou-class battleships in Kantai_Collection. All of the Kongou-class wear a nontraditional miko uniform with differently colored skirts and thigh_boots. They also wear the same signature winged hairband. Hiei herself has short_hair, brown_hair that is flipped_hair and wears a green plaid skirt. She uses a spider-like rig. For her second remodeling (remodel_(Kantai_Collection)), she gains the same modifications as Kongou_(Kantai_Collection), replacing her spider rig with a ship-like rig, except that the hairband is turned into hairclips and she has a shorter haircut. Tends to be depicted as a fiery airhead girl who usually can be seen worshipping her big sister (Kongou). This leads to her frequently being portrayed as a lesbian, siscon, and at odds with the admiral, either being indifferent to his presence or being a deep, perhaps one sided rival with him due to her sister's unrelenting admiral love. Her "Hiei Curry" featured in her hourlies, whether it is good (but very spicy) or bad (usually portrayed to be the latter), is considered to be infamous for making the admiral run away for several hours. Has a tendency to yell out "Hieee-!" ("ひえー！" or a typographical variant) as it sounds like her own name. Hiei's aggressive nature comes from her historical record, though it is ironic that Hiei worships Kongou, because the historical Hiei sortied more often with Kirishima_(Kantai_Collection), and worked as a team with Kirishima often. With Kirishima, Hiei initiated the First Naval Battle of Guadalcanal by firing at the USS Atlanta. In the ensuing chaos, Atlanta was damaged along with the USS Helena, two destroyers, USS San Francisco, and later Kirishima surprised the battleship South Dakota, which had suffered electrical failures and was unable to detect her. Hiei was attacked by several destroyers sent to reinforce San Francisco and had her superstructure mauled by 5 inch shells. Her steering jammed, and she was unable to proceed on. She was later attacked by b-17s and avenger torpedo bombers, and sank. Kirishima was surprised by the USS Washington while attacking the South Dakota and sunk.
