Looks like the ocean is a completely independent kingdom(it spawns it's own mamonos), got it's own religion (sea bishops), economy (mermaid blood is just one of their tradable commodity to other mamono)

so far it doesn't seem to have it's own military, this is probably because the ocean does provides a natural barrier from invading humans and the like. This might explain why the majority of the sea-girls have peacefully mild disposition.

Ow gawd I'm over analyzing things again...bad anon...bad anon...bad, though I'm just piecing together what the water world could be like through these profile entries.
