The corrupt judges of the Supreme Court of the U.S.A. has recently deemed that the Environmental Protection Act does not get to have any authority on making large corporations produce less pollution. As cool as Hedorah the Smog Monster is in fiction, pollution in real life is not. It is one of the biggest threats to humanity and other life, it is a real life monster arguably worst than nuclear war that is causing climate change and we're to blame because we created it.

It's sad to say his movie is just as relevant today as it was in the 70s if not more so when we have such cartoonishly evil people getting in positions of power trying to set the world back by decades and burn to the ground what little chance we have of saving us from ourselves and cleaning the one home we wrecked like a bunch of crackheads. I'd say no one would act like that because that's a cartoon villain but here we are. In fiction villains have to have a motive, in reality evil just is.
