When he bit his arm off and they showed it , that really scared me and set tone for the entire movie. It's not often you see kids getting ripped apart in movies, even scary movies tend to shy away from showing violence to children. Instead choosing to imply what happened and leave it up to the imagination of the viewer but this scene in the remake really caught me off guard.
