Sadly, bullfighting is now banned in Catalonia.

Don't worry... They will end up unbanning it.

They don't want to admit it, but when they get tired of all the the-bulls-suffer-that-is-slaughter-blahblahblah shit, they will realize bullfighting is after all a centennial tradition. You can't fight traditions, the only thing that really works with bullfighting is the "if you don't like it look away" rule.

"Tradition" should never be a viable argument for doing something inhumane. As much as I love the whole "art" of bullfighting, it's still a cruel sport which I hope remains banned.

See, there's the thing. Not "inhumane", you say? Perhaps you hadn't noticed, but bulls aren't human. Besides, bulls for bullfighting live most of their lives better than most humans! Sure, they 'suffer' at the end, but there are worse things done to animals for less of a reason, and if the public wants to see it, they should be able to.

Also, they haven't banned bullfighting in Catalonia - they've banned a certain method of bullfighting, promoting a regional alternative instead - it's a bit of national posturing, that's all.
