If the creators don’t even care about keeping track of power levels, than age is completely beyond them. Chi-Chi who is way younger than Mai and Bulma’s mom is already a grandma.

Mai, Pilaf, and Shu got deaged a year before the whole mess with the Androids and Cell. They're physically (and emotionally) the same age as Trunks now.

Why didn’t Roshi ever wish to be young again? Clearly people can de-age, no problem. King Piccolo did it. Imagine his skills and experience in a younger body, it’d probably boost his chances with the girls too which I doubt he’d mind.
