I’m sorry Erina fans but I just don’t get her appeal. I’ve seen plenty of other busty blondes in other anime who might also be rich or stuck up so she doesn’t really stand out. I feel like she’s not even the most attractive, sexy or cute girl in her own series so forget about bringing other anime into this.

Her interactions with Souma are usually the same deal, he’s a big goof and she’s annoyed. I don’t mind her when she’s with Hisako or Alice because they really help with humanizing her before the backstory of why she was always kind of bitchy and I don’t hate the idea of Souma helping her find herself as a chef but a romance between the two feels more forced than her relationship with her dad and doesn’t interest me in the slightest.

I don’t think she’s the worst but I do believe there are other girls and characters that are more interesting, funny, and so on that could do with more time and development than Erina.
