Don't get divorced (double spending on toys, cars, and overall money, and therefore resource consumption)
Make more modular equipment (so you don't have to switch phones. computers, and a lot of other shit that frequently)
Don't buy anything from China
Don't let your country bullshit you into handling money (fiat currency and national debt aka again, more money and resource consumption)

All those will actually help with pollution way more than recycling...
But yeah, recycling is nice too.

Lol, yeah, just ban money, then everyone would stop using oil, cutting down forests, growing food, and we'd all live in one big drum circle and sing kumbayah.
