They removed voting for comments and only up voting for pictures etc. because of bots that mass down/up voted certain comments and content. Hinata(Naruto) pictures for example were down voted hard.

There's a shit show of a thread going on about removing downvoting of comments. Personally, I'm not a fan of the change, and it just means people will report as spam in place of downvoting. Mods are probably getting slammed with thousands of "reports"

We honestly aren't getting a difficult to manage number of additional comment flags, and almost all of them are actually legit. People are now flagging rule-breaking comments for deletion instead of just downvoting them, which is allowing us to moderate them much better.
