There is the rumored Switched port, so that may just give it new life. I am really going to double dip if that rumor is true.
It's a great game, weather you like western rpgs, Jrpgs, never played them, or even just like the Xeno series, this game is a great buy.

Tell me about it. 15 is boss, but with games like shantae, this month, dragon quest 8 next month, persona 5, breath of the wild, i need 4 mes if i want to have time for all this.

IF they bring it to the Switch I am really hoping for an enhanced version instead of a straight port. Like not needing to download a lot of extra data to combat pop in and maybe adding in more post game stuff, as well some visual upgrades.
I'll buy it again on day 1 if they do that, especially since i'm somewhat not excited for the new game with it's regrettable step backwards in art direction.

My only question is, what CAN they add to a game as big as X. Hell the world map itself is bigger then the 'great witcher 3', and I beat the whole story and like 90% of the side quest and I still had like what? Another 100-150 of stuff to do.
And this is nintendo. Their ports this year have added a lot more then the game but looking good. Pokken and mario kart have new modes, characters all dlc added, and they look and play better. Nintendo is like that kid in class that dose the extra credit for an assignment they have an A+ on: its a pain in the ass but not in a bad way.
They could port the game with nothing but a few enhancements and it would do fine, given a lot of switch owners never played it, but they going to add something. Maybe voice chat for the online; hopfully better then splatoon's. New characters with a new story. New skells or something.
Either its not coming out this year. I would eat my wallet if it did along with xenoblade 2.

Yeah there was a while back. I think it was during the first month the switch was realised. But it still rumors. Nothing is confirmed yet. But with all the ports, even hints at a bayonetta and wonderful 101 port, its a very high possibility.
