Actually it's a pure ice, and evolves into an ice/fairy ninetales.

I do wonder about the breeding, but more importantly i wonder how in gen 7 will you be able to get original versions of Vulpix and others. I do hope we'll not be limited to importing them through generations ?

I'd say it'll be a 50/50 chance you get a Fire Vulpix or an Ice Vulpix.

I think if you hatch it in the ice mountain (on the Eastern most island) it'll be an ice type, but anywere else will be a fire type
