This might be an interesting twist for the series. Ganondorf as the one being the mentor to Link, only to be overtaken be Demise's curse during the game, becoming the King of Evil we all know and loath.

That would actually be plausible, we see Korok in Breath of the Wild which are from The Wind Waker so that confirms this game is either before or after WW. In WW Ganondorf talks about his country and how he coveted the winds of Hyrule. It sounds an awful lot like he wasn't always evil but something happened to him that made him do what he had to do. That "something" might have been demise's curse on Link that was passed on through Ganondorf. It would actually be pretty heartbreaking.

I come from the future and checked out the gameplay videos that came out of E3. Ganon's the bad guy from the outset of the game and they didnt do anything cool like the ideas #1940406 and #1969206 had.

Having a good Ganondorf be Link's mentor early on then turn evil due to Demise's curse would still be very interesting for one purpose : to break the curse once and for all as a mean to save his mentor, either directly or through his next incarnation.
