This image is weirdly profound on, like, several levels...
Zelda looks like she's in a trance or under some kind of spell. Ganondorf has an almost tragic, fatherly air about him. Like he's reading to a daughter-like figure.
Maybe I'm misinterpreting/reading too much into things, but the thought of a tragic, lonesome Ganondorf reading to a hypnotized Zelda like the daughter he never had is haunting...

i saw it as g-dorf is kinda regretting kidnapping a 12yo girl and is reading her bedtime stories so he can finally get some shut eye himself.
considering she's the youngest princess he's ever kidnapped, who is also a pirate and a mischievous child she must be more than a handful to look after.

Wind Waker made Ganondorf more relatable, when he mentions how his home was nothing but suffering before the final battle, he even said he wasn't gonna kill Link or Zelda when the complete Tri-Force formed. Ganondorf started off with good intentions, helping his people, before he got greedy and power hungry and wanted to take over the world.
So I can see him doing this before Link shows up to fight.
