I'm so disappointment in this arc including this match, nothing special at all. When I first saw this Franky's look, oh this looks good but then the match went so boring or almost nothing.

I wonder why some fans won't enjoy OP nowadays.

Anon 2, I thought the fight was great, specially the end of their battle and Senor Pink's back-story. It's clearly meant to be a parody of hardboiled manly action flicks. Oh well, most fans like the current arc and it's considered one of the best ones. Oda can't please everyone, but each to their own, I guess.

My only issue with this arc is that it's taking too damn long. It really feels like it was dragging on, especially with the tournament arc in the introduction of fifty new characters that probably won't have any relevance outside of this arc.

One Piece always has that "problem." I say "problem" because when we only get a few new pages or minutes of the story once a week, it feels like the story is taking figurative years to progress because it takes literal years to create it.

Try reading/watching the arc again when it's finished. It flows a lot smoother when you can read or watch it at your own pace. I've done this with the previous arcs since Enies Lobby and it works wonders for me.

The thing about One Piece is that while you may think an Arc is taking too long, the truth is that all the big arcs take a MASSIVE amount of time. Take Thriller Bark for example: Thriller Bark is a whopping 44 episodes long; and that's excluding the Filler... and the entirety of the Thriller Bark segment wasn't even that compared to the rest.

Now take Water 7 into account; that lasted from episode 207-325; over 100 episodes. One Piece arcs are insanely long. It's just something you have to realize.

quality of story suffers. If you watch good anime or manga you will noticed there are twists on story almost every episode or 1-5 chapters. If you combined punk hazard and dressrosa, that is too damn long even the manga today are not entertaining. Really? where is the interesting stuff? Sabo's first appearance? CP10 slight appearance although not mention in the manga. Fujitora has poor character development almost nothing. So where's the interesting stuff that made you excite for the next episode or chapter? Try watching OP straight you will get bored.

This current arc is actually the largerst arc so far and it's not even finished yet. It most certainly has been dragging on too long, has introduced way too many fodder characters and reused too many past plot points. It's like the "war" from Naruto. Every character is being given their own screentime, backstory and focus which is bloating the whole arc way out of proportion.

"Oh well, most fans like the current arc and it's considered one of the best ones."

No, not even close. Most people are tired of it and are complaining like mad. It's had more filler than most anime adaptions do.
