Isn't this basically the root/foundation uniform? Why is he wearing it? With Danzo dead is that even still a thing? If he's a root ninja why is he in academy with normal students? It just seems lazy dressing him like his father.
I like how in the new manga he favors a more modern cartoon-ish style for his super beast scroll. Even commenting on his father's I do Want him to develop his own style of jutsu. Instead of just being copy of his parents. Of course as one of the InoShikaCho group he needs to learn his clan jutsus.
