Well the "original" was pretty much a fan-made swimsuit by one of the artists in the game. It was never stated that it was her actual swimsuit. Another thing about the "original" is that no matter how one would look at it, its a swimsuit doom to come apart from the top. Sadly, to some or most, there is no naked breast in the game, so of course the anime will stick with their no nude rule that they had from the game. And finally this swimsuit matches her personality more, just look at how she dresses and acts.
