You know, one of my favorite things about this couple is the fact that even if the dark-skinned girl's bigger, stronger, trains martial arts and has history with the military (probably), it's the tiny, blonde girl who's the "man" of the relationship. I just think it's so bloody cute.

Anon4: The "man" of the relationship? Wow. Trying to decide which member of a same-sex relationship is the "man" and which one is the "woman" is like trying to decide which chopstick is the fork. Shiro (the light-skinned girl) is frequently aggressive or dominant in their relationship. That does not make her in any way "the man", since those are not traits specific to men and because a same-sex relationship is composed of two members of the SAME DAMN GENDER. How hard is to understand that these two are BOTH women? Their personalities are what they are. A man is the farthest thing from relevant in a lesbian relationship, desires for the opposite on the part of many men aside.

I think a lot of people get confused about homosexual couples and try to make sense of it as best they can by trying to apply the more common gender dynamics of a heterosexual couple to the pair. Of course, in doing so they just end up shooting themselves in the foot, and we end up with misconceptions like "every lesbian couple has a butch and a lipstick". Still, I don't really think they mean anything bad by it, as they usually just don't know any better, so I tend to just give them a few nudges in the right direction and try to let them sort it out over time. Anyway. Even though anon 5 was misguided in his general view on lesbian couples, I have to agree with what I think his (or hers, what do I know?) general message was. I also think it's really cute that despite our dusky beauty being so confident and generally cool in every way, it's the energetic little blonde who's sexually most aggressive in the couple. ;)
