@Anon 1, mostly right, except Links aren't related, only the Zelda's are. They share the 'sprit of the hero' and Zelda has 'the blood of the Godess.

It would be awesome if there were a Zelda game where Link actually sings. I wanted to hear him sing "Ballad of the Goddess" in Skyward Sword, and I was expecting him to be the one to sing "Song of the Hero". But alas, my expectations were too high. And yes, he definitely must have a voice like the gods!
