Lucas can remake time, space and anti-matter.
Brendan can affect the sky, earth and sea.
Gold can... make rainbows? uuuhh. Whirlpools and... sandstorms. Phew. You kinda missed out there buddy.

In Gold's defense, Ho-oh can resurrect the dead, possibly even remake them. And Lugia can create long-lasting powerful storms (as well as calm them), and control weather as a whole. Plus, don't count Tyranitar out, sandstorms can bury civilizations. Taken together, Gold can give life and take it away.
