Nope that palm at the hilt is going to stop any major artery damage stopping the blade from progressing any further, so really it's just a flesh wound and she's too close for any real countermeasure so, I'd say Monk isn't dead.

Clearly, you are not aware of the fact that katana are cutting weapons.
So her hand was stopped from pushing any further? Big deal, she just has to pull back, let the blade drag across the collarbone and through the arteries.

Sorry, the Monk is dead, at that range. Just look at how much sword is left to cut with, simply by pulling it back.

And you clearly not aware that these are Final Fantasy characters so they can bleed as much as they want and continue kicking ass because phsysics don't aplly! Saying that let's remember that Monks have Chakra skill wich enables them to recover Vitality and Spiritual power by a good amount. Combine that with Counter And have White Magic as Secondary Usable Skill and let the enemie endelessly hit you until your conter kills him/her or until they give up! XD
