what made brock so depressed/scared of her name she probably sex-crazed and brock couldn't keep it up.

there's still the possibility that she is a man. the first time prof oak talked to her in the anime indicates "her" appearance wasn't what he was expecting but enjoyed it. or got surgery like boob-job.
