as far as I see this is their discarded personallities trapped in the mirror world or something. You know like how sheik was the body zelda used to hide out, and then he was discarded. And Link's shadow was discarded when he lost. I like this pic.

there was no water in that room it was the mirror of darkness(four swords reference) it peals away all the good in you and then manifests the darkness there for sheik shouldn't show up in the mirror for he was simply a body not a personality epic as hell either way
