Because there are a lot japanese artists/art to care about and not everyone bothers to get an pixiv account, a site most of Gelbooru's users can't read.

I mean, if you're going to say "ONLY JAPAN ARTS HERE PLX" then there's no real need to have this site, because there's already Danbooru :/
I mean, the only thing that seems to be really different is that Loli isn't just for premium accounts.
