That only Opera and Firefox support animated PNG (which has been a standard format for MANY YEARS NOW, since long before Chrome even existed) doesn't mean animated PNG sucks, it means Chrome sucks because it can't even support web standards like Firefox and especially Opera do. Wasn't lack of proper standards support one of the main gripes about IE back when it was cool to gripe about IE (only isn't as much now because people got sick of explaining it again and again)? So why isn't it cool to gripe about Chrome for the same reason now? Oh yeah, because hardly anyone uses Chrome anyway, so most people just don't care to begin with what Chrome is or isn't doing.

There is an APNG Extension available for Chrome, there has been for a long time.
