They do. Kaito is supposedly MEIKO's male counterpart and so is Gakupo to Luka.

No, Kaito's female counterpart is Kaiko, just as Meiko's is Meito, Gakupo's is Gakuko, and Luka's is Luki. I think they're just popular couples among the Vocaloid community.
