It holds a warm place in my heart even though I stopped keeping super close track of it after Gen 5. I still occasionally play Gen 5 Random on Pokemon Showdown and I still like the artwork. When I was younger I was really into the anime, fanfiction, and cards. I also loved Mystery Dungeon and Gens 3-5. Weirdly enough I'm not as sexually attracted to them now as I was back then. When I was young I was on e621 looking up [Pokemon name], kissing. I'm still into the kissing and I credit Pokemon to my persistent love of monster girls but the stuff I found so arousing back then somehow doesn't have as much appeal. I'm more attracted to the humans.

Sadly it's a dead forum with not many members.
Anyway, I used to be a huge pokemon fan, then I completely dipped from the series after the shitty travesty that is Pokemon: Sword and Shield. I refuse to buy any of the games now on the sole fact these games are the laziest, cheapest, ugliest-looking cash grabs from any AAA publisher out there.
I strongly recommend the Pokemon Hack called Solar light/ Lunar dark, I've played it myself and I had a great time as the game gives you many different choices to build up your team and the story and OST is awesome, however some of the fakemons looks ugly and underdeveloped but if you're the kind of person that doesn't mind flaws then this hack is for you.
Every Pokemon game was good up until Sword/Shield. The jump to console isn't what we thought it'd be, and they half assing the PokeDex cause a whole ass home console couldn't fit the roster but a handheld 3DS and gameboy could was bullshit. Also all the uggo normal Field NPC Trainers that Scarlet/Violet was a crime against humanity
Nothing was cute, they were intentionally made ugly. Me hiking my ass up a mountain to see a "student" trainer of a 40 year old man who muffin tops out of his school uniform is not the reward I want to see. The idea that student trainers were not only loli/shota was a bizzare choice to begin with
Pokemon wasn't even good after BW2. What you saw was the highlight. XY had the worst story and PKMN roster ever. The gameplay is a complete joke. What's good was Mega Evo, which made it fun for the 1st time.
SM/USUM forces you to sit down with it's unskip cutscenes, which most of the time it's stupid.
tbh, enjoyed Sun/Moon a lot. Liked the setting, good OST and new Pokemon. Story was alright and liked the characters. Spent a lot of time on the Post Game Battle Tree and faced off against unique trainers with my friend or brother and climbed it together, it was epic. Liked Silver/Gold the best for nostalgia, but they did good with ORAS and S/M. Not Y/X though, hated the cast. Main redeeming thing was it gave us the best NPC trainer of all time, their ver. of the Hex Maniac
edit: also S/M has some of the highest number of unique lolis. very important
