I saw a comment I wanted to reply to and couldn't do so, tried shooting a DM at the user and that wouldn't go through either, don't exactly know what I could do about this.
Also kinda wanna change my username if I intend on having any kind of presence here, but idk I don't run across or make a lot of art that wouldn't already be here.

I've been having this exact same issue

I think it has a lot to do with trolls using older alt accounts to troll. As in they've made old spare accounts back in 2017, 2020, etc. and have begun to reawaken them just to continue trolling. Also spammers and pedos.

Perhaps the staff adjusted the criteria to be stricter so that now they can no longer make new comments. But that would mean it would affect all users with low reputation or inactivity, so it seems to be a bit of a catch-22 situation.

Also you can't change your username, unfortunately.

Your reputation looks to be high enough to post a comment. What error is it telling you exactly?

Yeah, that error is part of the stricter requirements. Level is not reputation. It's literally just a joke badge based on how much you comment.

Oh yeah I figured that was the case, my assumption was that "Record" was rep since you can click a + to give other people positive or negative reports.

Unrelated to everything so-far, I noticed some weird things on profile pages


...How do I do any of those things?
