Lina Inverse for me, without a question. Not only for the visuals, but in the anime, young Megumi Hayashibara's spunky voice did things to my young self.
Also, I love how early Slayers illustrations have this classic, western sword and sorcery art feel to them, just with an anime twist. Also, they are in traditional_media. Images like this one:

Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your perspective) I never got to experience watching 4Kids Piece in my childhood
