This isn't a pokefan complain, we all know that Gamefreak's games have been decent at best, all of them, and being decent rarely ever brings success to a studio, and considering how not a single one of gamefreak's games have been well received aside from Drill Dozer then can we expect something out of the studio?
I know for a fact not a single one of you did play their most recent non-pokemon game, Little Town Hero, and how do I know that? 3 reasons:
1. Right now, it has zero posts here.
2. It has the first literally empty wiki i have ever seen, not even worth using for shitpost.
3. Because it only has like 10 reviews on steam, with a peak player count of 16 players, at least Dustborn had 80 players at the same time, meaning the modern audience is bigger than the amount of people who cares about gamefreak.
Gamefreak will release Project Bloom in 2026 and have shown NOTHING about it other than a single piece of artwork I just uploaded, and I don't think there is a single soul expecting it to even decent, and if it was to be released on Steam day 1 I bet it wouldn't have over 1k wishlists, but I like to think that some day will gamefreak release a game that is more than decent so they can actually catch an audience of their own and prove they can make good games
And that's one of these issues from Gamefreak. Instead of focusing on their games, they're just wasting time and money on other projects while their main IP is on development. Shouldn't be a issue if they're big in numbers, which they don't even use their 300+ employees who some are also programmers as well. That and combined with their dogshit work force, yeah they're always bad, even before any of this.
How? Red & Green (the actual japanese versions) were all broken since launch despite it had a lot of time to develop. Blue is a re-release yet it's pretty much the same, it's changes are so little and it didn't fixed a lot of outrageous bugs, hell it even created it's own bugs. Yellow is the most "refined" release since it had less bugs to encounter.
They were beloved because the standard from this industry was low when it comes to quality at these games' release, it's how many games (most notably rpgs with bullshit encounters) are getting frown upon by their flaws when time goes on. If Pokemon Green was released today, it would had been shit flinged from even our dogs.
