I's love to hear about any shows, movies, books, games, etc., that you enjoy, but are either controversial or widely disliked by most people. As always, please be civil.

As for me, I very much enjoy Fairy Tail and Edens Zero, both by Hiro Mashima. I believe both series excel when it comes to their characters, and you can't go wrong with the fanservice.

I really enjoyed Metal Gear Solid 4 despite it's writing.

The Coffin Of Andy and Leyley. Especially after playing it's latest update, there's alot more to it than people give it credit

I will die on the hill of enjoying High school of the Dead unironically as the best zombie show I've ever seen.

Yeah, among anime, even ecchi anime, I always thought it had a pretty good reputation all things considered. But maybe compared to other zombie series outside of anime maybe it wouldn't rank as high for most people? I'm a fan, of course. That, Dead Rising, and I guess Resident Evil are the only zombie series I care for, aside from some classic movies in the genre.

But I could swear this thread topic was made not too long ago too, but since search is broken here I honestly feel I can't condemn duplicate threads unless they're both on the first page.

I distinctly remember mentioning all the ecchi anime that gets shat on by anime snobs. Anime I like/love like Eiken, Puni Puni Poemi, Kanokon, etc.

I'd have to think harder in terms of games and movies. A movie that comes to mind is The Young Don Juan, and for games there's Otomedius Excellent (although in that game I admit I only like to play as Diol Twee).

But maybe it'd be more suitable to come up with stuff that isn't niche and wasn't hardly seen by anyone, let alone divides opinions...

I'm not gonna pretend that Fairy Tail and Highschool of The Dead are cinematic masterpieces or anything but honestly I don't know what people were expecting. If you watch a show called Highschool Of The Dead and expecting something profound. I don't know what to tell you

Fairy Tail is completely inoffensive to me. Again, it's a shounen series with fan service about friendship. Have you guys just now started watching these? That's most battle shounen anime/manga. Hell I'll give Fairy Tail credit where it's due, unlike most battle shounen shows, it's female characters aren't completely useless

I share the same sentiment. I could also add Freezing and Kakegurui to my list.

I can't believe this is the only example I can think of, but I feel like the only person who LIKES the ending of NES Godzilla Creepypasta? Look, the whole thing with the dead girlfriend is meant to show how the game can alter itself relative to the player's own personal stuff, which I find interesting and think is done well. It also properly sets up the premise for the sequel series, which also rules and I still really want more of. And, I'm also glad the ending isn't as edgy and doomy as it could have been since that's actually pretty predictable for the genre overall.

Oh yeah! I love this one as well.

As for one I had to pick myself, I really used to like Loveless as a kid. It's very angsty and gloomy and has a lot of shota themes, but I really liked reading it.
