For me it's the shounen Inuyasha.

Just a heads-up: English dub is censored, the show gets a little tedious when the Naraku clones appear, the main characters' dynamics become predictable after a while, I wish the schoolgirls had panty shots, and Final Act, the movies, and Yashahime aren't as good as the anime.

But I love the feudal setting and locations, the isekai plot, yokai and historical figures, action scenes, comedy, steamy romance, sexy female characters, woman and loli nudity (there's also a few scenes of shota nudity, if you're into that), tsundere dynamic between Inuyasha and Kagome, fun well-written characters, the scenes when the feudal characters enter the modern world, the mystery plots, the treasure hunt-esque story, voice acting, music, art, and the bottle episodes and filler episodes are just as good as the rest of the show.

I wish there were other anime just like Inuyasha, but there are at least similar animes: Princess Mononoke, Gintama, Samurai Champloo, Rurouni Kenshin, Kidou Shinsengumi Moeyo Ken, Samurai Girls, Blood Shadow, Kage, La Blue Girl, Ooedo Forty Eight, etc.

Hmm idk if I even have a favorite that's a hard one to choose if anything most likely bleach even though people shit on it i really love it and then there's G gundam another favorite of mines and lasty yugioh 5ds also cyborg 009 is a great anime as well

Those are all great! All the gundam animes I've seen are amazing. Bleach is underrated, same with Yugioh and Cyborg.

I mean if you focus on the semi-historic fantasy setting, I can see in what manner you think those are the same as Inuyasha, but let's just say those wouldn't be my first picks if my hypothetical twelve year old cousin asked me recommendations for similar... ^^"

These days, I genuinely feel I've watched too much anime to pick one, or even a couple. Recently, somebody asked me to collate a top 10, because she is interested in anime but does not have the time to watch a lot, and I wasn't able to do even that properly. Anime is a medium, not a genre, you can find everything in it. I could probably do a top 5 per genre or something, maybe.

My favorite anime is Cowboy Bebop. Everything I love all rolled into one package. Spaghetti Westerns, Noir, Hong Kong action cinema, cyberpunk. Characters are all great, stories are inventive and one of the few anime shows that treats you like you have a brain. Really gets cinema. Honestly almost anything Shinichiro Watanabe touches I think is gold
