And/Or Tag Searching
Posted on: 05/21/15 01:31PM

I searched around and attempted to use the same syntax as e621, but have found myself unable to search for images containing combinations of listed tags.

To explain, on some search services you can find things containing EITHER tag1, tag2, or both.
~kurosaki_ichigo ~kuchiki_rukia on some search services would find all results that contain the character Ichigo, the character Rukia, or both of them at once.

I tried to figure out a way to do this because I wanted to see results for both curvy and plump. Some images contain both tags, some only one. I could do separate searches - one being curvy, the other being plump -curvy. However it's not a wonderful solution, and that gets very bothersome if you want more than 2 tags.

Is this functionality present anywhere? The little question mark bit says "~" is a fuzzy tag. Don't know what that means. Didn't work for what I wanted though.

Solr currently only allows us to use one binary logical operator on search terms at a time with the way we have it set up, so you're stuck with just good old AND for everything for now. We do plan to implement OR in the future.

A sticky? Couldn't this be put in the FAQ thread?
