I gave something like that a try once. Got a terrible headache from it and pretty much gave up after a couple of minutes.

Whats hilarious about it is that I'm just too tall to be bent over correctly, so I was angling all over the place to try and get the right position.

Ah well, there's always holding it by hand for a near-enough reaction.

Well... if you don't mind how you'll be found, it's a good way to commit suicide. The endorphins block out the pain well you drift into unconsciousness.
