History called, they want to inform you that 'Memento Mori' has been a Latin phrase sense the language was created. It means 'Remember your Mortality', 'Remember you must die', or 'Remember you will die', or, literally, '(In the Future) Remember to Die'.

In this case, holding the feathered cap and standing on the field of flowers in an otherwise dark and desolate-looking place, it would seem she is standing in the ruins of her hometown, on the field of flowers where her friend (girlfriend?) liked to lay, clutching the cap she left behind (you can find it with the search command, in the game).

For those unfamiliar with the game, the hero's story in IV begins with his/her hometown, which was established and dedicated to protecting and preparing the hero for their eventual destiny, being attacked and destroyed by monsters. Everyone, including the hero's girlfriend, is killed, and that cap is the only thing left of her.
