Natsuki and Shizuru is probably one of the hottest yuri pairings ever. Shame they couldn't show this scene from the inside of the room. :(

I'm still on the "this is all in Natsuki's imagination" side of the debate, mostly because I just can't see Shizuru doing something like that to a person she values so highly. :/

Why couldn't this be animated inside the room? T_T It would've been so brutally, incredibly, morbidly sexy *massive nosebleed* All the reasons why I love that scene, the episode, Shizuru and Natsuki as a favorite yuri couple and why Shizuru is my favorite HiME/character XD

I agree with Hystericdolls. I just can't see Shizuru do something like that. Plus I don't think the whole scene was left ambiguous; people just didn't really pay attention to the entire timeline. There was NO way Yukino could've spy on Shizuru during the night of Natsuki's accident, because Yukino and Haruka only found out that Shizuru disappeared the next day, and during that entire day, Natsuki was seen chilling outside of the tea house. So basically Yukino and Haruka only saw Shizuru kiss Natsuki when she was sleeping outside of the tea house. Natsuki simply misunderstood what Yukino said when she said that she saw Shizuru kiss Natsuki when she was asleep. Plus, Shizuru loved Natsuki so much, and helped her believe again. If Shizuru did rape Natsuki, then Shizuru would've lost Natsuki's trust, and helping Natsuki believe again was all for nothing. And how can Natsuki forgive Shizuru so easily? No one ever forgives someone who has raped them. Ever.
